In recent years, the commercial forest plantation bases of 2.293 million ha. has been set up. Ten demonstration plantations including eucalypts, acacia, bamboo, Ginkgo, chestnut have been established. Together with 616 demonstration plantations set up by joint venture or sole investment, the total area of demonstration plantations reaches 150,000 ha. Through preferential policies for demonstration plantation setting, good seeds extension, follow-up services and attracting investments have been promoted and the private forestry has vigorously developed. Privately invested forest plantations have exceeded 1.04 million ha. More than 17 foreign invested enterprises have achieved rapid growth in the form of "enterprise + plantation + farmers". Flower growing and wild animal breeding have been developed as the new profitable industry.
